Chair Seat Repair by Pam Sloan

I am proud to have Pam Sloan doing chair seat repair and upholstery at the Tin Can Trading Post. She works primarily in rush, cane, wicker and other traditional and natural materials as well as doing upholstery.

I gave Pam work space in my shop and a venue for her to exhibit her work and take commissions. She is usually here on Sundays and when the Farmer's Market is in season she works out front showing interested folks the process and procedure of traditional chair seat repair.

This lovely chair is an example of a restoration and upholstery job just completed.

I sold the client the chair frame. Pam did a complete restoration and paint job on the springs and frame, added horsehair padding, then covered the cushions with the client's fabric and colors
.
The piece is now at home in a penthouse apartment in NYC.

Pam is at the Tin Can Trading Post on Sunday - December 18th at Noon doing exhibitions of works in progress and hosting a holiday cookie sampler.

She can be contacted at rushseats@yahoo.com or here at the store.
